The Titans should keep Bo Hardegree on the Coaching Staff for 2026!

The Tennessee Titans are the worst team in the NFL. Mike McCoy’s squad most recent loss came to the Seattle Seahawks at Nissan Stadium by a score of 30-24.

Though the Titans suck, there are some things to be excited about. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward is improving, rookie wide receiver Chimere Dike looks like an absolute stud and is on track to be an All-Pro returner, and Xavier Restrepo also showed some promising flashes in his NFL debut versus Seattle.

Though Dike’s rise and Restrepo’s debut are great to see, Ward will be the No.1 focus of the franchise for the next few years. The Titans must do all they can to support their No.1 overall pick, and that’s why I think the team should keep Bo Hardegree on the staff in 2026.

The Titans should keep Bo Hardegree for the 2026 Season

Hardegree is far from an irreplaceable coach. However, out of everyone on the Titans’ current offensive coaching staff that the new head coach should consider keeping, Hardegree should be the answer for one reason: CONTINUITY.

A lack of continuity kills young quarterbacks, and Cam Ward is already going to have his third head coach by the time January rolls around and the Titans find their new guy. The new head coach is going to want to bring in his own guys, which is totally understandable and justified, as the Titans desperately need a coaching overhaul on offense. However, the next head coach should absolutely keep Hardegree on the staff, whether that’s in the quarterback coach role or a more minor role on the staff.

Hardegree has worked closely with Ward all year, and the two have built a nice coach-player relationship. With Ward set to have mostly new coaches in 2026, keeping Hardegree so the young signal-caller has some type of continuity would be a logical move.

More than likely, Hardegree will be coaching elsewhere next year, but I will continue to voice my opinion that he should be on the coaching staff for 2026. He’s the coach who has worked the closest with Ward this season and CONTINUITY is pivotal for a developing quarterback.
