The Titans should sign veteran offensive lineman Greg Van Roten!

The Tennessee Titans will be incredibly active in NFL free agency this week, as Mike Borgonzi and Co. have $92 million in cap space to work with and a ton of needs.

One potential need that could emerge for the Titans is right guard, as Kevin Zeitler is set to hit free agency, and we haven’t heard too much about a potential extension.

If Tennessee can’t retain Zeitler, there is a perfect replacement on the free agency market with connections to the coaching staff!

Titans should sign guard Greg Van Roten

Van Roten is one of the most under-the-radar free agents, and I’m shocked he’s not getting talked about as a premier target for the Titans.

The 36-year-old played under offensive coordinator Brian Daboll with the New York Giants for two seasons. Van Roten also spent time with offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo for three seasons, one with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023 and the other two with the Giants in 2024.

Over the last three seasons, Van Roten has started all 17 games each year, and had one of his best seasons in 2025 by allowing just three sacks and 26 quarterback pressures with three penalties.

The Penn product is incredibly durable and would be a fantastic replacement for Zeitler if he walks. Van Roten’s experience and pass-protecting prowess stand out, but he’s also a solid run blocker.

And to top it all off, Van Roten should be cheap to sign. Spotrac projects the savvy veteran will land a deal worth $5.1 million annually, which would be a steal for his level of play.

Overall, Van Roten’s connection to the Titans’ coaching staff, experience, and durability should make him a mid-tier free agent target for Tennessee. IF YOU ARE READING THIS, MIKE, SIGN GREG AND SOLIDIFY RIGHT GUARD FOR 2026!!
